Soichi Sushi is one of a few restaurants in San Diego that were featured in the Michelin Guide. A small \”traditional style\” sushi restaurant, located on the edge of the local neighborhood.
Soichi, the owner and chef, was once the main chef over at the other famous sushi restaurant in San Diego, Ota Sushi. There are many options to choose from, but the omakase course is the top choice when dining for the first time at Soichi.
Omakase, chef\’s choice, is a full course which expose you to the variety of fresh fishes and seafood that the head chef wants you to experience.
While some say that it is expensive, the top quality seafood that are being served is not cheap. Especially sourcing them from Japan. Sushi has become diverse in the United States and all over the world. But if you really want to experience traditional Japanese sushi in San Diego, this is the place to go. There won\’t be California rolls or the sorts. Quality over quantity.
Just make sure to make reservations well in advance!
